“If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”
–Wayne Dyer
Your life has brought you to this moment.
Uncertain if this is where you are supposed to be, if these feelings will last forever.
Struggling to know where to turn, you feel exhausted and overwhelmed. Life is not how you pictured it, but you can’t seem to change the picture.
You’ve spent hours, even days searching for answers, someone or something to help understand and resolve your pain.
Look no further. I recognize how difficult it is to feel those feelings, exhausted, and at your wit’s end with no help in sight. You may have even tried therapy before and are unsure if this time it will work. But now it feels different.
I know that bravery lives deep within your spirit…
… because you’re ready to take this step.
It is difficult to unlock your full potential and live your truth. It takes work. At times, the journey is dotted with rugged terrain and unpredictable climate.
All personal journeys are filled with difficulty and fragility – including my own.
Finding integrity through confronting your pain, fears, and anxiety is one of the hardest things a person can face. Sharing your deepest and most intimate feelings and challenges with a stranger is difficult.
Only you can walk your path, but I am here to listen and walk with you as you share your story.
It takes courage to ask for help. It requires vulnerability, self-love, and patience.
My goal is to provide tools that will help you weather any storm. So, don’t worry… you won’t have to endure this storm alone.
Therapy is the door to inner light. Your heart holds the key.
Your therapy is unique to you. It is yours and yours alone. Therapy is your time to explore your needs in a safe, comfortable, and confidential environment. Sometimes, just having someone to talk to that gets it provides a world of change. Through your willingness and trust throughout therapy, you will understand the deeper connections of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
My approach to therapy is different because it is dynamic. Throughout your therapy, you have several options available. You will have opportunities to explore yoga, work with a certified therapy dog, learn simple and complex breathing techniques, heal from trauma and anxiety, and live your life at its peak.
Through these methods, you will hone in on a deeper connection with your spiritual self.
Find inner peace and wisdom… and create lasting awareness and change.
As your therapist, I whole-heartedly believe in your ability to grow, find self-love, and heal. Drawing from my personal experiences, I know you have the power to create lasting and positive change by living the life you deserve.
There was a time in my life that I did not hold these beliefs about myself. I struggled with self-esteem, depression, and feelings of worthlessness. Through therapy, I could uncover happiness, hope, and achieve my dreams. My therapy is the reason I have the privilege of walking alongside your journey.
During your therapy, you will learn and explore your mind-body connection through therapeutic yoga, breathing, mindfulness, and EMDR.
In coaching, you will learn groundbreaking strategies to uncover your strengths through assessment, foster awareness through effective communication, and implement structured goal-setting methods to achieve actual results.
My work with individuals and couples is rooted deeply in understanding individual differences and dynamics, traumatic experiences, teaching mindfulness techniques, active listening, meditation, and every individual’s capability to ignite their inner light.
I help clients explore their inner light and deepen their emotional understanding, awaken spirituality, discover their passions, and build healthy relationships and connections in their lives. Through the combination of animal-assisted and evidence-based approaches, clients learn how to transform their anxiety, pain, and fear into a life enriched with joy and gratitude.
Understanding your deepest thoughts, feelings, and experiences is where your heart illuminates your inner light.
My approach is non-judgmental, collaborative, and genuine.
Imagine building a strong connection with a person who intently listens and understands how your pain affects you at this moment, how you got here, and how to carve a path forward free from the tethers of pain and trauma.
During our first session together, we will explore what is bringing you to therapy. I will answer questions you might have and work to instill hope.
My focus is to listen without judgment – to learn about your story, fears, and concerns.
We’ll discuss what works best for you. I am always willing to accommodate and work with you so that your therapy comes first. Initially, I recommend weekly sessions for stability and support.
You’ll receive an individualized treatment map so you can breathe easier knowing there is hope on the horizon.
I’ve always dreamt of serving humanity in a meaningful way.
For years, though, I was unsure of how to fulfill that dream.
Uncertain if college was the right decision, what I wanted to do professionally, and the life I wanted to live. At a young age, my own therapy was the catalyst for exploring education in psychology to work as a mental health professional.
Through the years, I have witnessed many friends and family struggle with mental health and have continually made it a priority to help in any way that I could.
I’ve always acknowledged animals’ unique ability to support human healing.
Animals have been a close part of my life since birth. I formed special bonds with pets and animals throughout childhood, adolescence, and adulthood.
My experiences with animals motivated me to pursue certification in animal-assisted therapy to offer the healing potential of animals to clients with whom I work. Animals naturally support the therapeutic process by being present, providing unconditional love, and emotional support.
Today, I am passionate about public service and serve on the Board of Directors at my local humane society, volunteering as an advocate for animal welfare.
I am a firm believer in lifelong learning, loving, and growing.
Pushing myself to explore new ideas, perspectives, and philosophies keeps me motivated. Seeing clients heal and take on these same attitudes encourages me never to stop exploring.
Some credentials…
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Arizona State University and my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at the University of Denver. I practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor in the state of Colorado.
I hold a certification in animal-assisted therapy and have worked with animals in a therapeutic setting for the past nine years.
I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance, which enriches my practice through yogic teaching and philosophy.
When I’m not doing therapy…
I spend much of my time playing with my dog, practicing yoga, reading, hiking, biking, and exploring the great outdoors. I also consider myself an audiophile and lover of most types of music. For me, striving for a balance between hard work and self-care is vital.
I believe that you, too, can achieve this balance.
Are you ready to begin this journey?
Are you ready to make honest changes and start taking steps forward?
